Holding our breath

This is what we have been up to in the Doyle home. Sitting in the steamy bathroom - check (luckily its not humid here in az, my hair was hysterical in there!) Prop up the crib - check Turn on humidifier - check Tylenol, Motrin, Tylenol, Motrin- check After all the checks and he still couldn't catch his breath we hit urgent care. I kept thinking this is just the croup a lot of kids I know have it right now.... There were all these nurses and talk about an ambulance,it just went foggy from there to be honest. Carson's stomach was a huge balloon and his chest had slowly caved in. They did two breathing treatments and finally got the oxygen levels back up. I just can't get over it, how can this little common bug be so scary? My poor guy. We were sent home with the breathing machine and thank goodness! It helps so much during one of his episodes. He hated it at first, but I finally got him to wear it and kind of like it!(so much better than having to pin him down) Clint has been amazing! On zero sleep and work right around the corner he has been right by our side. He has no idea how calming he is to me. Keeps me focused and sane when things like this happen. It could be way worse and I am so very grateful for the good health we do have.

What happened?!? Katelynn woke up this morning burning up. I hope that's not the start of what took Carson to urgent care!

We're praying for you guys. I know it can be scary, and very draining to have a sick child.

I remember our first cold-induced asthma attack. It was SO SCARY! That retracting of their chest... strugling for breath... yeah, we know that mask well.
I hope your little one starts feeling better soon. don't hesitate to call if you have questions or need help.
