FHE

Last week was a little busy but I wanted to post about our little family home evening. It was the first that we had with Lace on an actual Monday night. Now usually I just make dinner and Clint will read me a talk or the scriptures. But I wanted to spice it up a bit for Lace. We talked about Captain Moroni and how he took every precaution in building the safety for his people. We talked about how it is important to always be doing the same thing with our faith. Ensuring that it is steadfast and immovable. We may be tested, hardship no doubt will fall upon us and we may have to rebuild what we have worked so hard to form. But it is important to maintain our foundation. We played the flour game to prove this. I did this when I was in brownies as a young gal and loved it then too. That penny did not want to fall. It showed how there had to be alot of cuts to make it crumble. The game also showed there is always a chance to get that penny messy it may be but its never lost unless you give up. Clint, Lace and Carson got flour faced I had mad skills and didn't have to go hunting for it lol. A great night.

Abundantly Blessed

Warmth, happiness, excitement, anxious, confirmation, love, appreciation, grateful, humble, joy, peace. These were just a few of the feelings I felt in the temple yesterday. Heavenly Father has blessed me with so many wonderful shepherds to guide me onto this path. One of those amazing people is Christy Jarvis. She helped lead me through this temple experience. She will always be my eternal sister and friend. I was also able to be sealed to Clint and my Carson. Oh the love that was in that sealing room. We are so blessed. I am so grateful for the things I have learned and the eternal perspective I have gained. What is truly remarkable, is it has all just begun. Starting here with my forever family.

Carson is ONE!

Carson turned one on Saturday! It feels like just yesterday I was going in to be induced. He is one stubborn turkey! But oh man, with a grin that melts my heart! I love him so Happy One Year Carson!

Patience. Oh how I have a love hate relationship with this virtue. I would love to say that patience comes easy to me, but how far from the truth that would be. The Prophet Joseph Smith learned that patience has a refining role in preparing us for “a more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (D&C 63:66). I feel myself going completely against my new years resolution of Finding Joy in the Journey Now. I am putting this here as a little note to self. BE PATIENT. P.S. (for my mother's sake), Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary is happening just life and lack of sleep. Ü
