Sunflowers

My sunflowers are coming in! We feed the birds out side I know, I know crazy bird lady.... but you should see the different kinds that come in. I have roadrunners and quail and woodpeckers ect, ect. I even make a special recipe for my humming birds! Anyways a couple months back I told Clint that I really wanted sunflowers in the back. He said he wasn't that into them, thought they kinda looked like weeds... I said, boo but that was fine. We chose a bunch of other flowers and planted them around the house. The birds have been coming and going and we are constantly filling up our feeders. I started noticing a plant growing at the bottom of the feeder. We were both like no idea what that is. So we let it grow and grow and grow and looks like I got my wish! The messy birds that would drop the seeds on the floor were actually unknowingly helping us plant.... sunflowers! I smile really big at Clint when ever I catch him looking at them. I think its way exciting. I possibly need more of a life but gardening is one of my things so... to anyone else who shares my green thumb I'm sure they can relate. Ü Its funny because when I first moved in with Clint you could say the back yard wasn't really up to par. But now its looking awesome. I thought when we made it one of our projects it was something that he felt he had to do. But come to find out that's exactly the opposite. With his green green grass (except where the slip n slide was...oops) and his tomato and pepper garden he's totally into it. Even Lacey is wanting her own section of the back yard. I guess they just needed a little help letting that green thumb show.
